This Mid Morning
This Mid Morning when I wake
The absence of sun, no longer, I ache
This Mid Morning when I wake
The absence of sun, no longer, I ache
Brutally ripped
From a world without noise
One of control, charactor, and poise.
Then a momentary plea goes out to my brain
Please. Please! Let me sleep again.
Searching for that space below
Through the folds of sheets and pillow.
Hoping to fall once again
Into MY world of make pretend.
Standing here,
As people gather near
Buildings and places with familiar faces
Here I build my town of aces.
Upon my whim they shape and shift
Between my realities desire creates rift
No worries, no thoughts, thought is my life now.
No I never ask why, I never ask how.
Forever whilst in my dream till dawn.
But then it arrives
Alass, you are gone
My sleepy nightengale
Youve been derailed.
